This past weekend took a trip to Margaret River, a wine region 3ish hours south of Fremantle. We 'hired' a car and Julie drove us early Saturday morning (on the LEFT side of the road). She did a terrific job and never crashed! I did attempt driving to church on Sunday morning, which was pretty exciting. When we arrived in the region, we stopped in a few nearby towns to go to galleries and look at the beaches. We checked into our cute Bed and Breakfast called Bridgefield guest house and walked around the Margaret River town.

Later, we drove further south to see the Leeuwin Light House. This is the most southern point of Western Australia and the point where the Indian Ocean and the Southern Oceans meet.

The weather was a bit crazy- raining on and off. Because of this, we did see multiple rainbows!

Later, we went searching for Kangaroos, which come out around sunset. We drove to a golf course and found some eating the grass. I walked quite close to them!

On Sunday, we woke up early to go on the BushTucker Wine Tour. I was soo excited because I have always wanted to do a wine tour. We went to 4 wineries, a brewery, a chocolate factory, and a cheese factory. It was a wonderful day!!

We ate lunch at the Knotting Hill Estates. Our tour guide asked for volunteers to eat a Witchity Grub. Julie and two men volunteered so she ate 1/3 of this! Yuck!

After the wine tour, we went to find more kangaroos and went to the beach. We were hoping to watch a sunset but saw some pretty amazing storm clouds instead!

Monday morning, we went to a few more vineyards before coming home. It was quite an enjoyable weekend and I wish we could have stayed longer. Now I am getting excited for more traveling at the end of my trip!
